Airline Agreement Sabre

The Interline Ticketing Agreement (ITA) table refers to the list of airlines that have entered into an existing ticketing agreement with other airlines. Sabre Travel Network, a Sabre Holdings company, offers access to the world`s leading distribution system (GDS), which enables agents from more than 53,000 agencies worldwide to be travel professionals. The Sabre GDS, the first system to connect travel buyers and sellers, now has more than 400 airlines, about 60,000 hotels, 37 car rentals, nine cruise lines, 35 railways and 220 tour operators. Sabre Travel Network`s leading brands include GetThere, the leading online booking technology for business travel, and Jurni Network, the unique consortium of leisure travel agencies, which allows members to sell more products through preferred tour operators with sophisticated market insights. Sabre`s Global Distribution System (GDS) provides airlines with a highly efficient way to market their fares and offerings through a network of agencies and businesses around the world. As consumers expect more personalized, flexible experiences, Sabre`s marketplace continues to grow to offer airlines more sophisticated opportunities to present different offerings – including branded fares, additional pay-per-view services, bundles and NDC offerings – in a slightly comparable way across indirect outlets. Northwest Airlines signed the three-year DCA option in July 2003. The agreement guarantees Sabre Holdings access to all fares, promotions and services published by a participating airline. This includes all fares that the airline sells through a third-party website and through its own website and booking offices. In addition, the airline has agreed to offer Sabre-related agents the same opportunities to access promotions that the airline may provide through other channels, including competing booking systems and third-party websites.

As part of the new directive, Sabre will take a number of measures that will apply to every airline that has no problem providing fare parity to Sabre users. The first measures are as follows: until now, the ticketing link between electronic lines of each airline was unique and adapted to each partner airline. This means that an airline has been able to conclude a large number of individual agreements, which has made the development and implementation of these bilateral routes both costly and time-consuming. The new e-ticketing-hub function in SabreSonic Ticket makes bilateral carrier connections virtually unnecessary. Once a carrier is connected to the Hub, access is available to all other connected carriers, including those on other reservation systems. Sabre and United will jointly develop solutions with next-generation technology that will enable it to provide its loyal customers with more relevant personalized offers. This progress will also promote and better showcase the unique value of the airline`s various fares and additional products and services for travel agencies with additional descriptive text and graphics for better on-screen merchandising inside the Sabre Red workspace and via Sabre web services. In codeshare and operating airlines, flight segments have the same code as the valid airline, but are operated by other airlines. The ITA table is checked between the valid airline and the airline defined in DEI50….
